Learn to Meditate

Meditation is a powerful technique from ancient India. Meditation is one of the most powerful tools there is to help you restore the harmony within to gain access to your body’s inner intelligence. In meditation you rediscover the silence in your mind and make it part of your life. Silence is the birthplace of happiness. It is where you get your burst of inspiration, your tender feelings of compassion, your sense of love. Meditation is a journey to freedom and self-knowledge.

It is well-understood fact that the world is increasingly becoming the global village with the wide use of technology, where there is tough and neck breaking competition. Doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major factor in such illnesses as depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, cardiac pain, insomnia, diabetes, ulcers, colds, fever, asthma, arthritis and alcoholism. Research has shown that meditation contributes to reducing stress and achieving deep relaxation and a profound state of rest. Meditation has important benefits for a wide range of health problems, and also allows the mind and body to function with maximum effectiveness by reducing stress.


Methods of meditations

Various kinds of meditation techniques are introduced. An individual is encouraged to progress to one kind of meditation, which is most suitable to him or her. We teach mantra meditation as well as other scientific and traditional techniques of meditation. During course, you will receive your personal mantra, instruction on how to use it and a wealth of information about meditation and how to successfully integrate it into your daily life. Mantras are the basic, most essential sounds of nature. You are given your own mantra. It represents the specific sound or vibration of the universe at the time and place of your birth. When you silently repeat your mantra, your awareness gently moves away from the frenzy of the non-stop activity of the mind to the stillness of your spirit. This soothes your entire physiology—mind, body and soul.

  1. 'OM' meditation with heartbeats (Chanting the Sanskrit letters A - U - M and OM feeling the internal vibrations in the corresponding parts of the body and ultimately throughout the body, taking us to a state of blissful awareness.)

According to WHO “Mere absence of disease can’t be considered as health. It is physical, mental, emotional, and socio-economical well-being.” It means these all are inter-related to each other to give holistic health to the humanity. Meditation is a holistic yet scientific approach affects on all the level. When physical mental and emotional health is in balance, health of the individual is achieved. This in turns gives rise to social health. All the four interdependent constitute as a whole which is spiritual health leading towards ultimate reality. Physical level

Our body is made of different systems, systems are made of different organs, organs are made of different tissues and tissues are made of different cell. Cell is the smallest unit of human body. Our body is supposed to be made of 60 trillions minute cells. This is the level up to where medical science is depending upon. It is well-understood fact that our body is made of five elements viz. space, fire, air, water and mud. They are combined with the help of energy, which is the smallest unit of medicine. Effects of meditation goes beyond the cellular level to energy level thus helps each cells to rejuvenate, increasing the flexibility of muscle by facilitating digestive process, respiratory process, circulatory process as well as other.


Mental level
During meditation your mind becomes quiet allowing your body to gain the deep rest necessary to release stress and fatigue. It relaxes the whole nervous system by activating parasympathetic nervous system and de-activating sympathetic nervous system. As a methodology to train mind to concentrate by controlling the whirls of mind. It is an effective way to treat psychosomatic diseases without drugs instead it works as efficient tool to control addiction.


Emotional level
As it helps to controls the whirls of mind with realization of self in true sense, meditation help the practitioner to be bold enough to resist ups and downs in life. Harmonization of the functioning of nervous and endocrine system result in control and ultimately eradication of anger, fear, lust, jealousy and hatred.


Social level
As a social being we must have adjusting nature to progress in society. Physical, mental and emotional harmony leads towards social harmony as well as spiritual being by giving freedom from anguish, infatuations and awakening of the wisdom and attainment of blissful state.


About session
The course is usually scheduled in two three-hour sessions with a few days between sessions. In the first session you receive your personal mantra, instruction about how to meditate and experience your first meditation. In the second session, we meditate as a group; you learn what to expect in meditation, how to integrate the practice into your daily life and deepen your understanding of your practice and its purpose.


Can I do meditation?
People of any age, education level, culture and religion can learn meditation. It does not require specific beliefs or a change in lifestyle. The only change or adjustment you need to make is to allow the time to meditate regularly.
