Yoga Teacher Training The Yogaguru India - Eligibility Criteria

Individuals interested in learning the ancient Indian system, various styles of yoga and applied science.
Instructions will be in English.
In their own interest individuals with disabilities or ailments are advised to refrain from applying.
Minimum age at the time of admission is 18 years. Applicants aged over 50 years will be considered for admission by the executive committee on producing a fitness certificate.
Pregnant mothers need a medical authorization permitting them to practice yoga.
Any candidate found unfit after commencement of the course will not be permitted to continue the training and a refund of fees and other charges will not be admissible.

Mantra chanting
Ethics for each day
Philosophy of Yoga Practice and cleansing techniques (Shat karma)
Techniques and practice of Asana (physical postures)
Technique and practice of breathing (Pranayama)

Evaluation & Certification

Assessments will be based on written as well as practical evaluation.
Student conduct will be a part of the assessment criterion.
Evaluation will be carried out only for those students who have a minimum of 90% attendance in all classes.
Yoga Alliance International Teacher Training ­ Yoga Certifications ­ RYT 200, 500 will be provided.
Since The Yogaguru is registered with Yoga Alliance International as one of the Yoga Schools in India (RYS 200 and RYS 500) , on successful completion trainees will be awarded a yoga teacher training certificate and will thereafter be eligible to register directly with Yoga Alliance International as yoga teachers (RYT 200 or RYT 500).

Yoga Teacher Training ­ Code of Conduct

Discipline is an integral part of the training program and so the course routine must be strictly observed.
Disrespect to rules and regulations could result in termination of studentship with no refund of fee.
Absenting oneself from the scheduled program without prior permission of the teacher or manager concerned would be construed as a gross breach of discipline.
A student must intimate in advance if they intend to forgo a meal so that there is no wastage of food.
The Yoga Guru does not make arrangements for guests of students. Any activity that is not related to the course is not permitted.
Ensure you are on time for class or you will not be permitted to enter any class once it has commenced.
Before departure from the Yoga Guru students must clear all dues and return all books.
Smoking and alcohol are not permitted during the training.

Refund Policy

All aspirants are advised to carefully consider the time and resources required for the course before forwarding the application for the teacher training course. The deposit submitted with the application is not refundable. However, in case of emergencies and other unavoidable exigencies the Yoga Guru at its discretion permits students to go for any other scheduled course within the period of one year. We therefore recommend that all applicants carefully examine their upcoming obligations so that they may be able to devote their full attention to the teacher training program.
